For upcoming needs, we are, on behalf of a company in Umeå, looking for a mechanical designer who wants to be part of the green transition and participate in the implementation of tomorrow's technology today. You will be part of a department that develops concepts for the company's new initiative, from inception to finished products. The workgroup consists of supportive, ambitious, and humble colleagues who aim to contribute to a culture that fosters an inspiring work environment. Additionally, the team strives to develop and grow together.
In the role of a designer, you will work on the design and construction of upcoming products. Your role involves finding new smart technical solutions and making choices regarding methods and materials. Good collaboration skills are essential, as cooperation with other departments is common.
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in a similar role, along with an academic background as a civil engineer or mechanical engineer or equivalent. You should also have a good understanding of mechanics. Active participation and a positive attitude toward working in an environment characterized by high quality and innovation are crucial. It is desirable that you have good communication skills, are self-reliant, analytical, and curious, while also taking responsibility for your tasks and contributing to a positive dynamic in the team.
Since the work may involve both national and international contacts, strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.
The position is located in Umeå, and shift work may occur. As this is a recruitment for an upcoming assignment, the potential start date can't be provided at this time.
