hela Sverige We are now looking for an experienced and qualified engineer that will work with, and develop, our engine installations in our products.
Surface Drilling Equipment Division has a world leading position among surface drill rigs. Our competiveness is built on quality and performance in several segments. This means that we have sophisticated machines with advanced systems in various technology areas such as diesel engines, compressor system, advanced mechanisms, CAN bus control systems etc. The competition within our segment of products is high and demands continuous development and improvements in order to stay ahead of our competitors.
To further strengthen our competiveness we are now employing an engineer that would like to work with world class products and to take our engine design and installations to the next level of performance. You will be in an important role within the mechanical design group where your operational work will be to design and develop our engine installations. The work covers concept development and realisation, 3D CAD design and modelling, power calculations, drawings and products specifications, manage practical tests and contact with suppliers. The work itself will be very exiting and challenging with a variety of tasks with good opportunities for personal development.
Typically, the work is often made in projects where fuel consumption, efficiency and emissions will be example of core areas to manage. You will be working in new development projects but also with existing products where we focus on small and effective improvements. Internal cross functional contacts are essential as well as external contacts with supplier and others.
Needed experience
To be successful in this position we believe that you need at least 3-4 years of experience within similar area as mechanical design etc. Knowledge from engine installations and products for mobile applications in demanding environments is meriting.
Knowledge
You should be a skilled engineer that has knowledge in general machine design, machine element dimensioning such as screw and weld attachments. Furthermore, you need skills in weld technology, manufacturing methods, materials and filter types since these are common areas of the development work. We use ProEngineer as the CAD tool, it is therefore necessary with skills in 3D CAD design. You also need to be good in English since this is the language for reports and communications. You also need to be able to write clear and objective reports and be able to communicate and socialize with your colleagues.
Education requirements
You should have a documented academic background with an appropriate orientation or other highly qualified engineering background.
Your personality
In order to be successful and enjoy the challenges in the position you should have a general technical interest, be self propelled, and be able to take initiatives and responsibility. You need a structured and analytical approach to your tasks, and be able to select and use both theory and practical work to finalize the design.
