Business Unit Liquid Food (BU LF) is responsible for development and manufacturing of units for processing of dairy, beverage and prepared food applications. We work closely with our clusters to understand customer needs, create and convey our solutions that provide the greatest value for Tetra Pak and its Customers. BU LF has approx. 460 employees in four main sites: Lund in Sweden, Winsted in USA, Shanghai in China and Pune in India.
As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a key role in our customer order projects, having the responsibility of the mechanical design, from order to delivery of the finished product. You will belong to a team of process, automation and mechanical engineers, delivering processing solutions to our customers. You will work closely with other functions in the company; R&D, production and sales, and have a global network.
The position is based in Lund and can include some travelling.
Main responsibilities
• Be the expert of mechanical design in customer orders throughout the order process
• Make production preparations for manufacturing and assembly
• Mechanically structure products and compose detail design that enables rational production
• Give technical support to our sales organisation
• Be involved in product development
Qualifications
You are a highly service minded and customer centric person. You enjoy working in a changing fast paced environment. To communicate with people on all levels comes natural to you, and you can work both independently as in groups and different projects. You have a strong drive for results and work in a structured and organized way.
We believe you have a University degree/ diploma in Mechanical engineering and have at least 1 years' experience in working with Mechanical Design using Inventor and AutoCAD. Special attention will be paid to candidates with experience in pipe design and/or experience from the food industry.
For the position, excellence in spoken and written English is a must and knowledge in SAP and MS Office is valuable.
