Your tasks
We have a high focus on EV vehicles which is a growing area. We are therefore welcoming more skilled engineers to our team!
Your responsibility is to create cable installation and install electrical components in our bus E-mobility projects. This can be cable routings and sheet metal brackets for cable installation or to install of electrical components.
In most of our projects this includes taking a very important part in these steps:
• Conceptual design and cross-functional agreements
• Digital testing
• Create drawings for prototyping
• Physical testing
• Prepare parts documentation for serial production
• Start of production
• Support the handling deviations occurring in running production
This demands close co-operation with our schematics designers, production, purchasing, neighbor design departments, and many other cross functions.
If you don't already have, you will get a good understanding of the whole Scania development process, from design work to production and after-market. We are continuously improving our processes and ways of working, so your drive and contribution here will also be important, all employees are expected to give their best contribution.
Your profile
We strongly believe in a diverse mix between personalities and experience levels. Either you have solid experience in designing cable harnesses and schematics or you have the drive, curiosity, and right mindset to learn fast and contribute within this area. Independent of your experience, we'll strive to give you the right tasks so you are challenged and have room for your development.
• You have a bachelor's or master's degree.
• You have a high interest in electronics
• You are eager to learn and develop yourself, and to give an impact on our products and way of working
• Previous schematics and cable harness design experience is a big plus, but not a must-have.
• You are a team player, with social and communicative skills, and will reach out to cross-function whenever needed (examples: purchaser, production engineer, or service market engineer)
• If you have Scania experience from other departments this could benefit our team
• Your English is fluent both verbal and written.
