ABOUT THE ROLE:
Friday is now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to Fractal Design. Fractal Design is a leading PC gaming hardware brand, developing cases, cooling, power supplies and accessories centered on enhancing the gaming experience. Founded in Sweden, Fractal Design has a global reputation for high standards of quality, refined design aesthetics and a user-centric approach to innovation.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Fractal, you will have both a creative role and an analytical/technical one, following the product from the sketch pad all the way to the first unit from the production line. Working in a team, you will take part of among other things; use case workshops, technical analyses, and business case studies. Using CAD as your primary tool you will create models that are user-friendly and attractive for the customer while being optimized for production. Close collaboration with partners and suppliers is also an integral part of your everyday where you can look forward to occasional business trips visiting factories.
Aside from the thrill of designing products often shown in popular media channels, one big selling point is your team. Expect a group that is genuinely curious and warm, with people who express feelings of mutual respect and support each other. Every Monday you will start with breakfast at the office to hang out. And on Tuesdays, you enjoy Swedish fika together with coffee and cake. After works, game nights, and casual rounds of table tennis between meetings are also common where space and time for social activities are created.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
To succeed in the role, we believe that you:
Have a BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development and/or similar field.
Have experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
Are fluent in English in both speech and writing and can communicate effectively with all types of stakeholders.
It is not mandatory, but considered a plus if you:
Have experience in product development of volume products.
Are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.

This is a recruitment which means that Friday is responsible for the recruitment process, but you will be employed at Fractal Design.
