Position description:
We are now looking for Mechanical Design Engineer
Description
The Mechanical Design Team, that you will be part of, is part of an organization responsible for Design, Styling, Mechanical Integration and Technical Documentation. The Mechanical Design organization is responsible for the design of all components in the vehicle. The Mechanical Design Department consists of 5 Teams:
• Sheet metal
• Frames- Mounts/Machined parts & Standard
• Electrical/electronic & Lighting
• Carpets- Insulation- Hoses & Seals
• Plastic- Composite- & Glass areas.
You will be part of a team of design engineers working primarily internally with other design engineers and collaborates internally with Project Engineers / Manufacturing Engineers and technical specialists. We also participate in international projects and your position will complement existing skills and resources.
The role as Mechanical Design Engineer involves:
• Generating detailed design solutions
• Being part of the daily interface work and agree on interfaces
• Contributing with design input, in all needed Integration work
• Incorporating all Lessons Learned into the design solutions
• Responsibility for the quality of the design, check it before it is released
• Anchoring decisions, development and status with the responsible line management
Skills and required experience:
We are looking for someone who has:
• University engineering education, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in concept engineering
• Experience in Cad modelling
• English, both spoken and written
To be successful in this role, you need to be:
• Creative and solution-oriented
• Open minded for new knowledge and open to sharing your knowledge.
• Good at communication, both verbally and in writing.
• Abel to plan and prioritize.
• Good at taking responsibility for your quality and deliveries
