We currently have the following job opening;
Mechanical Design Engineer
The Powertrain Engineering unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of new powertrains for Geely Group as well as development of hybrid and electric propulsion systems including all high voltage components. The Mechanical Integration Team is responsible for a subset of the mechanical components of the electric propulsion systems, such as brackets, fasteners that are used to integrate the system in the vehicle.
As Mechanical Design Engineer you will deliver drawings, solutions models and ideas aimed at integrating EV components, such as HV batteries, electric machines, power electronic boxes and cables in a car architecture. Product database maintenance is also a part of the work.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Task leadership for design and delivery of documentation towards our suppliers
- Maintaining, updating and creating new models of components in the electric propulsion system
- Making concepts for integration and fixation of components and design elements in the car
- Publish and release 3D models and drawings with GD&T
Profile and Background
- MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent
- Documented skills in designing and maintaining stable and flexible 3D models of hybrid system components such as supplier units, brackets and fasteners
- Skills in sheet metal design, castings and plastic
- At least 5 years' experience from integrating elements in an automotive environment with all aspects such as NVH, durability, fatigue and corrosion
- Experience from mass production in relevant manufacturing processes
- Fluent in English
- Experienced in CATIA V5 including good knowledge in workbenches surface design and part design
- Teamcenter experience is a merit.
