hela Sverige Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Mechanical Engineer - Automated Dismantling in the field of battery recycling to join our passionate team in Västerås. In joining us, you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale, European battery recycling facilities. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free and resource efficient society.
Northvolt is now looking for a Mechanical Engineer within dismantling for our recycling operations. The purpose of this process is to dismantle pack as preparation for crushing/sorting.
As Mechanical Engineer - Automated Dismantling, you probably have extensive experience from dismantling operations or from assembly operations. You are experienced in tools and methods for dismantling of mechanical assemblies. You will play an important role in dealing with equipment vendors and collaborating with Northvolt's factory design team to efficiently integrate the dismantling solution into the factory as well as with Northvolt collaboration partners. You have been driving innovative, and challenging improvement projects. You are a team player, curious and eager to learn.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead and define mechanical solutions for Automated dismantling
Develop tools, fixtures, and methods to make the dismantling process in a safe, ergonomic, and efficient manner
Implement and support standardized processes.
Support delivery on BU's innovation objectives.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
BSc/MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Qualified and experience to work in high-voltage (<1500VDC) environments is not mandatory but is a merit
5+ years of relevant work experience within assembly industry or in a related field.
Excellent English written and oral skills
Bonus points for:
Fluency in other languages
Experience from a multi-cultural environment
