About the team:

Our team is a part of MDS (Motor Drive System) section which is responsible for development of electric motor drive systems for our Battery Electric Vehicle and Hybrid vehicles. Our goal is to develop and deliver the best electric motor drive systems on the market for the needs of our customers. We are constantly growing and searching for new colleagues. Role responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to our Electric Motor team. We see that you have broad experience from drive line development within automotive but main focus area will be on Oil cooling system. This means that you will have responsibility of the following:
Designing oil channels within the electric motor to ensure proper flow and circulation of oil for effective cooling. This includes determining the optimal size, shape, and placement of the channels to achieve efficiency.

Design and specification of oil seals.

Establishing requirements for oil flow rate and temperature control within the electric motor to maintain optimal operating conditions. This involves considering factors such as thermal limitations.

Conducting research to identify oil types that are suitable for use in electric machines. Specifying the required oil types and ensuring compliance with industry standards and motor specifications. Consider environmental and sustainability factors when specifying oil types, including the potential for recycling, disposal, and environmental impact.

Designing the housing laminations and other components within the electric motor to accommodate the oil channels and facilitate efficient heat transfer.

Collaborate with suppliers to establish and communicate specific requirements for oil types suitable for use in electric machines, considering factors such as viscosity, thermal conductivity, dielectric properties, and compliance with industry standards and motor specifications.

Staying up-to-date with advancements and trends in oil cooling technologies, electric motor design, and industry best practices.

Prioritized experience and knowledge
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in oil cooling systems.
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design engineering within automotive industry.
Background within Electric drivelines (e-motors and/or transmissions)
Experience from propulsion systems in battery electric vehicles.
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
