Role description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in casting for HV Distribution parts, you will leverage your extensive expertise to contribute to the advancement of the next generation of High Voltage Junction boxes. You will take the lead in designing various components within the High Voltage Junction boxes, with a primary focus on castings. Your creative input will be instrumental in optimizing the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of our hardware. This role entails close collaboration with the electromobility team and various departments, fostering cross-functional partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including production and suppliers.
About you
• Bachelor 's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Physics
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in casting design within the automotive industry
• Technical proficiency in Electromobility products, systems, and components
• CAD Design skills (familiarity with Creo is advantageous), including 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and tolerance stack analysis
• Fluent in both written and verbal English
• Previous experience in designing high and low voltage distribution boxes
