You will work with maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
A bit about the role
As a Mechanic at Stegra, you'll be part of the Mechanical Maintenance team and support the daily operation of production and industrial equipment. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and improvement work across mechanical systems and machinery.
You'll collaborate closely with operators, technicians, engineers, and other maintenance colleagues to maintain high standards of safety, reliability, and operational performance in a modern industrial environment.
What you'll do
Perform maintenance and repair work on industrial equipment and machinery.
Support daily operations by troubleshooting technical issues and minimizing downtime.
Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable production.
Collaborate with operators, technicians, and other departments to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
Participate in inspections, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
Follow established maintenance routines, safety procedures, and company standards.
What you'll bring
Experience working as a mechanic in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
Practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is considered an advantage.
Relevant vocational education in mechanics, maintenance, or a related technical field - or equivalent practical experience.
Good understanding of workplace safety standards and safe maintenance practices.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work shifts when required.
Good knowledge of English; Swedish is a plus.
