We at the Test Technology group at Scania's Technical Center STC are currently looking for an inspired and experienced measurement engineer in coordinate measurement (CMM- Coordinate Measuring Machine) to strengthen our team. The main task of the group is to ensure that R&D measurement needs are met in an appropriate manner. We are proud to not only work with measurement of combustion engines but also support the transition to new technologies for our electrified vehicles.
Our team
We are now looking for a positive, social, and precise problem solver in coordinate measurement, who can be part of our team and take on exciting and varied technical tasks. As a measurement engineer, you will work with advanced measurement equipment and perform coordinate and surface measurements. You will also have the opportunity to create programs to optimize the accuracy of the machines. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our R&D customers, managers, and suppliers.
Your role
Conducting measurements in coordinate machines and surface measurements
Analyzing, and conducting quality investigations
Creating and modifying programs
Sending results to our customers
Writing instructions for different work methods
Develop and optimize working methods and standard.
Document measurement results with traceability
Work with high measurement quality and precision
Ensure that our customers receive results on time.
You will also be involved in our improvement work.
Order service and spare parts.
Your background
• Have a technical high school education or equivalent
• Have good knowledge of both spoken and written Swedish and English
• Experience in reading drawings
• Knowledge of form and positional tolerances
• Merit if you have experience with coordinate machines
• Merit if you have experience with contour and surface measurement
• Good computer skills and experience with the Office package are a given.
To thrive and be successful in the role, you need to have a precise and structured work methodology, be analytical, and easy to collaborate with. You should be comfortable working both independently and, in a group, and enjoy taking responsibility and working systematically even in a busy work environment.
