How will you impact the future for Volvo Penta
As a Measurement Engineer you will be responsible for delivering data from our field test through telematic systems and be in the front line of measurement system development. Some of your main responsibility will be to work together with projects to gather requirements for what and how to measure our field test objects. You will also plan and execute measurements activities together with the team. Furthermore, you will plan and participate in portable emission measurements in the field and generate and keep telematic set ups and running. The role also includes to keep close cooperation with testing technology department at Group Trucks Technology.

To be successful in the role we believe that you have a genuine interest of working within measurement support of engines/power systems and we expect that you have both the knowledge and experience of measurement and telematic technology. As you will keep projects informed, discuss internally, and present what the team is doing we see that you have great communication skills. As you will be working with projects, you need to have a drive to understand project requirements and make sure they get quality data. Volvo Penta operates on a seemingly flat organizational structure where own initiative is important and highly requested.
Other experiences and knowledges you should have:
Proven capability and experience within telematic measurement systems.
Knowledge in measurement technology and communication protocol such as CAN, LIN, ethernet among others.
Knowledge in diesel engines, after treatment systems or electromobility systems.
Fluent in Swedish and English as a minimum.

Field Test and Data Management within Product & Solutions Development is responsible for performing field tests, make sure we gather all necessary information and visualize and analyze the data. The department is today about 16 Engineers working in different projects. The measurement support team consists of 4 driven colleagues. We are also working in close cooperation with Group Trucks Technology. We are a team that works in close cooperation and always would like to support each other. Team spirit is very important for us and that gives energy to perform and deliver, but also to have fun at work.
