Role Summary
Do you care about clean air? Are you fascinated by the measurement techniques used to detect air pollutants? Do you enjoy challenging traditional ways of working and driving change? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
The Emissions Technology group at Scania's Powertrain Testing division is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Measurement Engineer to join the team. You will work with cutting-edge measurement technology, ensuring accurate and reliable emission data that drive the development of cleaner and more efficient engines.
Job Responsibilities
As a Measurement Engineer, you will work with fuel and gas measurement, ensuring high-quality emissions data. Your role includes developing and optimizing measurement systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and adapting to changing testing needs. You will analyze and post-process data, collaborate with engineers across disciplines, and take part in both practical and analytical tasks. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will help refine methods and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone with a pragmatic approach to technology-you understand that not everything in the world is perfect, but you have the curiosity and problem-solving skills to make it better.
Your background might include:
• A degree in engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc.) or extensive practical experience in the field
• Experience in measurement technology and fluid dynamics
• Familiarity with analysis programs and data post-processing
• Knowledge of electronics and instrumentation
• Experience with mechatronics (a plus!)
• Understanding of chemical processes related to emissions (a plus!)
• Enjoyment of hands-on, practical work
• Fluency in English (Swedish is a plus but not required)
We believe that precision, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a service-oriented mindset make for a great Measurement Engineer. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you! We welcome applicants from all backgrounds - your unique experience and perspectives are valuable to us!
