How will you impact the future for Volvo Penta
As a Measurement Engineer you will be responsible for delivering data from our field test through
telematic systems and be in the front line of measurement system development. Some of your main
responsibility will be to work in projects with the aim to gather requirements for what and how to
measure our field test objects. You will also plan and execute measurements activities together with the
team. Furthermore, you will generate and keep telematic set ups up and running. Together with the team you will also keep track of hardware such as cables, telematics units and the cost of it. The role also includes to maintain close cooperation with the testing technology department at Group Trucks Technology.

To be successful in this role is it also important to be a skilled communicator, who manages stakeholders in a cross functional and multi-cultural environment with ease. Furthermore, you will conduct internal discussions and present the team's achievements. You are inquisitive, find energy in making a difference and have a positive and pragmatic attitude. Since you will be working with projects, you need to have a drive to understand project requirements and ensure accurate quality data. Volvo Penta operates on a seemingly flat organizational structure where own initiative is important and highly requested.
Other experiences and knowledges you should have:
Proven capability and experience within telematic measurement systems.
Knowledge in measurement technology and communication protocol such as CAN, LIN, ethernet among others.
Knowledge in diesel engines, after treatment systems or electromobility systems.
Fluent in Swedish and English as a minimum.
An academic degree Bsc or Msc preferably in Electronics or similar education is a qualifier.
API/Python knowledge is a merit.
This is us
The Measurement Support team is part of the Field Test Department within Testing & Laboratory at Volvo Penta Technology. We are responsible for performing field tests, by making sure that we gather all necessary information to visualize and analyze the data. The department consist of 14 engineers working in different support teams where the measurement support team consists of 3 driven colleagues. We are also working in close cooperation with Group Trucks Technology. We are a team who works in close cooperation and always supports each other. Team spirit is very important for us as it gives us the energy to perform and deliver, and of course contributes to us having fun while doing it.
