ME System Engineer Simulation
You will act as a global Manufacturing Simulation Engineer at CEVT. Provide up front input to both styling and product engineering to enable competitive styling, dimensional and perceived quality, manufacturability, and reduced manufacturing complexity.
Responsibilities and task
• Performe various product and process simulation tasks.
• Ensure the application and fulfillment of all external and CEVT internal guidelines in respect to the dedicated area of responsibility.
• Support IT related processes and working procedures for various simulation tools.
• Ensure that all necessary process tools are available and up to date in the simualtion database, tex weldguns, studweld heads.
• Accountable to reach functional performance targets with respect to decided Key Performance Targets (KPI).
• Contribute to manufacturing footprint optimization, engineering efficiency improvement etc.
Requirements
• A degree as a certified engineer in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Process Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in body manufacturing or body manufacturing engineering.
• Manufacturing plant knowledge and experience for at least 2 years.
• Cross functional assignments and global experience.
• Documented experiance with work in various simulation environments for a minimum of 5 years.
• Subject experience concerning the production of single parts, assembly concepts, manufacturing methods, design features, clamping concepts, planning processes, quality requirements, measuring methods for bodies.
• Practical experiance within robot programming is favourably.
• Profound technical, professional and product knowledge.
• High level of analytical, oral and written communication ability.
• Comfort with stretched targets/challenges while acting professionally in a matrix team.
• Strong talent to motivate others and self motivation.
• Demonstrated high levels of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Thorough knowledge of body manufacturing process's.
• Ability to read product drawings, GD&T drawings and Tool Design drawings.
• Good PC knowledge.
Other Requirements
• Fluent in English both oral and written.
• Chinese is beneficial.
• Ability to travel on a global basis, mainly China as required.
