We currently have the following job opening;
Senior Stamping Simulation Engineer
As Senior Stamping Simulation Engineer you will work with the development of the latest platform (floor) and tophat's for new vehicles. This is a new exciting role within the stamping team at CEVT and the role reports directly to Module Team Director Stamping. You are part of a Global team within and the work is done in cross functional teams: CEVT/GEELY process engineers, project leader, simulation engineer, R&D.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Perform manufacturing feasibility work with respect to i.e.
• Tolerances, referencing, material utilization, number of operations, arrangement of parts etc. that results in a lean and cost efficient production.
• Together with the team review forming simulation as well as updates for the entire process plan, including cost estimations for different product/process proposals etc.
• Interface against product development department, support with necessary information and investigations regarding the process and product feasibility.
• Handle daily engineering work such as feasibility support, process layouts and work related to identified products and processes
• VCC die standard, Press data and Technical Specification.
• Create proposals for the entire process that describes the intended process, specify tooling directions
• Perform investigations
Requirements
• Deep knowledge in Catia V5(2D & 3D)
• Deep autoform knowlede
• Minimum 7 years of experience from Sheet metal forming simulation
• Experience from die manufacturing industry and Die Design
• Experience in Process engineering
• Good knowledge in MS office
• Fluency in English both oral and written
• From other OEM;s. Experience from VCC standard is a must.
• Driven, independent problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
• Ability to travel
