We currently have the following job opening;

ME BIW Simulation Engineer

You will act as a global Manufacturing Simulation Engineer at CEVT. Provide up front input to product engineering and fellow manufacturing engineers to enable competitive styling, dimensional and perceived quality, manufacturability, and reduced manufacturing complexity.

Responsibilities and task

Ensure the application and fulfillment of all external and CEVT internal standards and guidelines in respect to the dedicated area of responsibility. Execute various product and process verification tasks using virtual manufacturing tools: Teamcenter, Process Designer, and Process Simulate. Support related processes and working procedures for ME Body in white simulation group and external suppliers. Ensure that all necessary process tools are available and up to date in the simulation database; i.e. welding guns, robots. Accountable to report and reach functional performance targets with respect to decided Key Performance Targets (KPI). Contribute to manufacturing engineering efficiency improvement and global collaboration.

Requirements

A degree as a certified engineer in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Automotive Process Engineering or Industrial Engineering. Documented experience with work in Process Simulate on eMS or Teamcenter environments for a minimum of 3 years. Thorough knowledge of body in white manufacturing processes. Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing engineering. Practical experience within robot programming is favorable. Desirable manufacturing plant knowledge and experience for at least 2 years. Cross functional assignments and global experience. Subject experience concerning the production of single parts and assembly concepts, automated manufacturing processes, metal joining processes, clamping concepts, process planning. Ability to read product drawings, GD&T drawings and Tool Design drawings. Comfort with stretched targets/challenges while acting professionally in a matrix team. Demonstrated high levels of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and communicate technicalities clearly. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently. Very good PC skills.

Other Requirements

Fluent in English both oral and written. Swedish or Chinese is beneficial. Ability to travel on a global basis, mainly China as required.
