MCA System Manager - Operations and Maintenance (O&M)

Description of the unit:
Public Safety and Industries are worldwide modernizing their communication from legacy Land Mobile Radio to Mission Critical PTT over LTE/5G including several new broadband applications over LTE/5G. All these Mission Critical Applications (MCA) will enable new revenue streams for operators. Networks and solutions are emerging right now and will evolve into one of the most important use cases for 5G. New network functions are being developed all over the Ericsson portfolio and needs to be E2E verified including functions like, local redundancy and hardening of network.
Our solution includes Mission Critical Push to Talk (MCPTT) Application Servers and MCPTT Clients which MCA is design responsible for but also several other nodes within Ericsson.
We are now looking for a System Manager O&M to grow and strengthen our MCPTT System Team.

Responsibilities:
Drive the work for the Ericsson Group-Radio to have a well-defined, easy to manage and intuitive solution for managing and trouble-shooting our product in line with Ericsson guidelines
System studies for future improvements in the O&M area
Requirement definition in the development projects
Support design team and test teams
Develop customer product documentation in the O&M area
Engage with customers to give technical support and to collect customer feedback on the solution


To be successful in the role you have:
Previous experience in either system management work and/or experience in the O&M area as designer, tester or in customer projects
Excellent communication skills to be able to share your vision both internally and externally
Comfortable to engage in customer discussions
Passion for achieving results and meeting customer expectation
Understanding of different user's needs and challenges
Break down a long-term vision into small incremental improvement steps.
Prioritize between different work packages to make sure that what is most important is done. Managing trade-offs between technical and business needs.
Managing expectations from multiple stakeholders with different agendas.
Bonus: Previous experience in Mission-Critical systems or SIP applications is a plus but not mandatory
