Job Purpose:
To be responsible for the materials management function relating to the planning, procurement, storage, control and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the location material, logistical and warehousing requirements.
Directs and co-ordinates the activities of personnel within Materials Planning and Warehouse.
Prepare schedules and help problem solve any scheduling issues based on customer schedules, capacity, operational lead-times and sales forecasts.
Review purchase orders, contracts and vendor performance to ensure compliance with Division goals.
Purchase and manage inventories of raw materials, purchased and manufactured items and finished goods.
Develop and implement purchasing and inventory control procedures and sequence operations within the department to optimise work and material flow.
Motivate and develop subordinates to optimise their performance and their personal and professional growth.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Mechanical graduate engineer (or similar)
Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Purchasing management education (preferably, CIPS, NEVI, MAI, ESSEC, ESC)
Comprehensive understanding of JDE, MRP & Kanban scheduling
Experience in project management, cost reduction and profitability initiatives, Lean programme and new products production.
Excellent PC skills
Must be fluent in Swedish and English
