hela Sverige You will have a responsibility to define test programs to fulfill project specific requirements. In close collaboration with GKN test engineers and/or external labs, you will define test plan and carry out testing. You will also regress test raw data to material data and material models. Additionally, report and document material data and models to be used for specific projects with full traceability. You will help to ensure that products comply with national and international legal and quality standards. A part of the role contains of assisting the development of innovative manufacturing processes, as additive manufacturing and metal injection molding, and work on their qualification strategies. You will work with innovative research in collaboration with University partners.
We are looking for an experienced Material Test & Data Engineer to join our team at Engineering Methods. The Engineering Methods department is responsible for design and analysis methods that shape our future aero engine modules.
We are looking for the folowing in the potential candidate:
Bachelor 's degree in Metallurgical Engineering
Knowledge of materials and solid mechanics; experience of testing is required
Experience to work with ISO17025 certificate is required
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with internal and external customers
Great communication skills in English, knowledge of Swedish is required

Engineering Methods is a department within Research Center Trollhättan that consist of the three departments Engineering Methods, Design Engineering and Process Engineering. The Engineering Methods department is responsible for design and analysis methods that shape our future aero engine modules. We work mainly in technology projects where we apply methods to design new products and develop new Engineering Methods in the fields Aerothermodynamics and Solid Mechanics including Material testing and development of material properties for new materials. Today we are 25 employees of which a significant number have a PhD degree.
