We are looking for a Material Solutions Engineer to be located at Services Division Västerås facility
Your Role
As a Material Solutions Engineer for our Service Division you will work as a key member of the Parts Service Line team providing engineering support in delivering our business goals for the Nordic Region. More specifically, to support the sales and procurement organization with drawings, specification and technical expertise. Lead the change of supplier on technical front, involving system expert and evaluating drawings, specifications and test procedures.
You will also develop tools and models for forecasting material needs. Another important task of your job is benchmarking material demand and requirements across Nordic fleets and other Regions.You will work with local, regional and inter-divisional engineers to deliver the technical support to the Service Line.
Your role as a Material Solutions Engineer also includes supplier and customer meetings, leading technical discussions as well as cataloguing and data management.
Your Experience and Qualifications
• Professional Engineer or similar tertiary qualification
• At least 5 years of working experience
• Fluent in Swedish and English
• Good understanding of electronic and mechanical products as well as comfortable with evaluating specifications and drawings of such
• Experience with fleet operations, maintenance and knowledge of life cycle cost analysis
• Good computer skills is required (MS office among others)
• Knowledge of Maximo, BAAN, SAP, PDM is beneficial
• Experience from the rail industry will be considering an asset
