Material or chemistry specialist with an interest in sustainability

Job description:

This is your opportunity to make a difference to the environment on a global scale. We are looking for a material or chemistry specialist with an interest in environmental issues and trends to join our Environmental Product Management team in Kista, Sweden.

Our team comprises five people who are responsible for identifying and working towards fulfilling product-related environmental requirements to ensure compliance with government regulations, Ericsson policies and customer requirements. Your challenge will be to define and ensure effective implementation of relevant material and substance content requirements for the entire product portfolio. You will make your expertise available to the whole of Ericsson, maintaining competence and support networks. You will also participate in various external forums, such as industry organizations and standardization bodies.

Competence:

You are a motivated person who works well independently, but are also a team player who enjoys sharing your knowledge with others. You are clear and concise in your communication. You have a business-minded attitude to work and a pragmatic way of driving issues forward.

You should also have:

• a Master of Science, or equivalent, in Chemistry or Materials Engineering;
• excellent understanding of product material and substance regulation;
• knowledge of how chemicals and substances used in electrical and electronic products interact with the environment;
• good administrative skills;
• good communication skills;
• good spoken and written English.
