To ensure that production meets legal and internal requirements regarding the content of substances, materials and recycling, we are looking for a: Material Compliance Coordinator, ECM (Environment Concerned Materials).



The Material Engineering Team at Vehicle integration and Testing, which you will be part of, is incorporated in a bigger unit inside the Technical Development Organization. You will be working in an interesting workplace with open minded colleagues and a problem solving atmosphere. There are possibilities to focus on and develop your knowledge in your field of expertise.

In this position, you will cooperate closely with our Design, Purchasing, Aftermarket and Regulatory affairs department. To some extent, you will also have external contacts. You will guide and support our part Lead Engineers with your expert knowledge.



Work content:

- Cooperate with Regulatory Affairs in monitoring and interpreting legislation relevant within ECM
- Inform design departments and project of valid legislation, upcoming phase-outs of substances and other relevant matters within work field
- Coordinate ECM work in vehicle projects
- Manage and improve NEVS process to ensure that our products meets legal requirements relevant for ECM
- collect, analyze and verify data
- recycle calculations
- phase out of substance

- Define our in-house requirements and necessary work tools
- Prepare material and inform & educate design departments and projects about ECM requirements world-wide
- Review Material Data Sheets from Suppliers and based on need support Supplier Quality and Design Departments to change parts
- Support Regulatory Affairs by contributing with Reuse, Recycle and Recover calculation to ELV (End of life Vehicle) requirements
- Anchor decisions, development and status with the responsible line management

We are looking for someone who has:

- University education in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Material Engineering or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience within Regulatory, Compliance or other related areas - knowledge of IMDS
- the ELV-directive
- chemical legislation eg REACH
- knowledge of substances and materials
- experience of reading and interpret legal texts

- Experience of reviewing Material Declarations from Suppliers
- Project focus and have excellent communication skills
- Excellent English, both spoken and written
- Driver license B

To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:

- Customer oriented, orderly and extremely accurate
- Excellent skills in MS office especially word, excel and power point
- Have the ability to plan, prioritize and be result orientated
- Be easy to work with for both internal and external partners/customers
- Ability to learn on the fly and enjoy problem solving
- Good analytical skills and make independent decisions
