Volvo Cars design, develop, test and maintain virtual verification tools to enable Safe Vehicle Automation. They focus their efforts in large-scale cluster simulations, developing and improving their tools incrementally with high focus on modularity, performance and usability.
New Minds are looking for ambitious M.Sc. students in the tech field who want to write their master's thesis together with experienced supervisors at Volvo Cars. New Minds Academy program gives you the opportunity to start working at Volvo Cars directly after graduating.
Volvo Cars can offer you various master's thesis subject areas, such as (but not limited to):
• Vehicle Energy Motion & Control
• AD/ADAS platform (Autonomous driving / Advanced driver assistance systems), radar, ultrasonics, camera, lidar
• AD & Pilot assistance
• Active Safety functions
There are also possibilities to tailor your subject area in dialog with your supervisor at Volvo.
Who are you?
• You have a mindset to develop and learn every day.
• You are curious, driven, self-motivated, committed and a trusted team player. The team's achievements are essential to you.
• You are studying in a M.Sc. program in relevant fields, e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, Mechatronics, Automation, Automotive Engineering or similar.
• Skills in high level programming languages such as C++ or Python, Java
• A Swedish driver's license (B) is meritorious.
Interviews will be held continuously up until October 2022. Applying for this master's thesis spot means that you also intend to work at Volvo Cars after graduating, via our New Minds Academy program. The New Minds Academy will start in September 2023.
