What you will be a part of
Saab Kockums provides design, construction and in-service support for advanced naval systems such as surface combatants and submarines to the Swedish Armed Forces and other customers worldwide. Our product portfolio consist of the air-independent Stirling system, mine countermeasure systems and submarine rescue systems amongst other. Saab Kockums operate in Karlskrona, Malmö, Muskö, Järfälla and Singapore.
We are looking for a Manager for the section Master- and Project Planning with office location in Karlskrona and Malmö. You will be part of the management team for Project & Planning which is a separate department within Saab Kockums.
Your role
As a Manager for Master- and Project Planning you are responsible for processes and activities and the follow up/assessment of adherent parts in ongoing projects and initiatives. Further you shall establish and maintain the company Master Plan (short, mid and long term plan) and ensure that resource allocation is effectively prepared for incoming and ongoing projects. You will secure that project plans are established in a correct way and that they reach right maturity and quality within projects and programs. This includes frequent communication with all stakeholders including the line organization. You will establish overall milestone plans and follow up of those within the entire business unit.
Ensuring that needs for further improvements of adopted systems, tools and planning process are identified, defined, driven and properly communicated is another of your responsibilities.
You will ensure effective cooperation and coordination of all activities in the Planning organization with the activities in other units and functions. Further you will optimize staffing and competence structure and the continuous development of the employees and teams. Establish and maintain close contact with other Companies and/or similar business units within Saab, contributing to and utilizing synergies and best practices related to the operation of the unit.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for a candidate with good leadership and project management experience. You have experience from handling program office roles for large complex multi-project business and/or a background as a successful project or program leader. Preferably you have experience from working internationally and are used to establishing relations with broad network, collecting and analyzing information and communicate back to the organization. You are highly driven, trustworthy and result oriented with a strategic capacity, able to see the whole picture and go into details when necessary.
You have the ability to motivate and coach teams and coordinate efforts of all project and team members towards a shared goal. You are the one who takes initiative and ownership and has courage and integrity to discuss complex questions with people on different levels.
You have a relevant degree for the position, possibly within engineering or business/economy. Several years' experience in leadership positions with proven track record, both for leadership and performance, including budget and/or project management is a must. You need to have knowledge about and experience from process oriented work method.
Fluent oral and excellent written Swedish and English
