Kongsberg Automotive is a global provider of engineering, design, and manufacture for seat comfort, driver and gear shifter systems within the vehicle industry. World wide Kongsberg Automotive is aligned in about 20 countries and has approximately 10 000 employees. The plant in Mullsjö is one of Kongsberg Automotive's largest with around 500 employees. In Mullsjö products for seat comfort and gear shifter systems are developed and manufactured.
In the vehicle industry testing is of great importance due to the security demands and all over end-customer satisfaction. Such demands are increased stiffness and strength, while you also want to increase the shift quality for all types of individuals. The driveline testing department at Kongsberg Automotive in Mullsjö works in a project based structure to meet all customers different demands. To improve our methods of reaching even higher we search for students on master level to perform a master thesis. During the work you will have the possibility to get in touch with one of the largest companies in the region.
The main target of this thesis will be to fully simulate one of our customers gear boxes, using an already existing custom built servo control system. We are therefore looking for one or two students interested in programming advanced real time servo control systems. It will be very useful to also have a good understanding of electronics design. The student(s) will be provided all the necessary tools required to accomplish the set target.
For the right person this is a great opportunity which will include highly skilled problem solving and independent work.
