During the thesis project, you will be working on the development of a model and a process for using standard terminology in tools that will rely on AI for the production of technical information.
Terminology is increasingly important when it comes to planning technical language at a strategic level. Siemens Energy recognizes that terminology management is an essential part of the organization's metadata. This means that systematic terminology should form the foundation for all information, communication, and knowledge-related activities and tools within the organization. There is a terminology component in almost all digitalization and harmonization activities.It is of great importance to ensure that the technical information cannot be misinterpreted
Expectations for the outcome of the master's thesis:
The master's thesis should provide the next step in the implementation and maintenance of a standard terminology that Siemens Energy can use for communication between systems, business partners, AI model training, and in automated translation memories.
Trainee Program
During the trainee program, you will undergo further training through a combination of theory, practice, and real-world cases. The trainee program offers you the opportunity to combine education with practical work in various technical areas. You will receive in-depth training in the different systems you will be working with, as well as a comprehensive understanding of Siemens Energy's organization, processes, and work methods, etc. You will collaborate with people from all over the world and have the chance to develop and deepen your technical interests.
You will become a part of an open and dynamic workplace where professional and personal development are high on the agenda. We offer a flexible work environment with diverse tasks and ample opportunities for personal growth, especially if you are at the beginning of your career. As a trainee and a part of Siemens Hub, you will have the option to work remotely from Norrköping in a local Work Space a few days a week. Once the trainee program is completed, you will continue to work in the regular operations as a consultant.
You will receive a special designed training program based on your background and experience. You will have a dedicated mentor from the department to help you get a strong start in your trainee position. You will be employed as a consultant at Skill and will receive a monthly salary both during the thesis project and the Trainee program.
ProfilWe are looking for someone who wants to carry out their thesis project in a world-leading industry and is interested in diving deep into Technical Information Systems. You have a general IT competence and an interest in information schemas and data management. Currently, you are in the final year of your master's program in engineering, specializing in systems science, information-based systems, or an equivalent field.
As an individual, we see you as communicative, structured, and meticulous. You are motivated to work on problem-solving both independently and collaboratively with others. Since you will be conducting the master thesis and working in an international environment with clients worldwide, we expect you to be fluent in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of Swedish is taken in consideration but not a requirement.
