In the Volvo Trucks Pilot Plant we develop the future assembly processes at the same time as we produce the trucks of tomorrow.
To be able to simulate work on a moving assembly line we need a way to move a truck in a predefined speed while performing various assembly tasks.
Description of thesis work
Design an equipment that can move a truck chassis 30 meters along the existing assembly line in the Pilot Plant.
Smooth motion
Adjustable speed: 1,0 - 4,0 meters/minute
Easy to remove when not used.
Main location for the project group will be the assembly plant in Tuve, Gothenburg.
To simplify communication with operators at least one group member must speak Swedish.
We require the thesis to be performed in a team of two students. Please state the name of your partner in the application.
