The Volvo Truck Plant in Gothenburg wants to optimize the process for software download and internal handling of ECU units.
Description of thesis work
The task is to design a programming station with an increased level of automation by analysing the tasks to be performed.
What tasks are suitable for automation
Motivation of suitable level of automation
Design of gripper or other type of product/machine interfaces
What tasks are suitable for a human operator
Safety evaluation for human-machine interaction
Main location for the project group will be the assembly plant in Tuve Gothenburg.
To simplify communication with operators at least one group member must speak Swedish.
We require the thesis to be performed in a team of two students. Please state the name of your partner in the application.
