hela Sverige Are you a leader who motivates and inspires others, who encourage collaboration and development? As Master, you will be the onboard representative together with the Chief Engineer. In this role, you will have the overall responsibility and the ultimate authority to ensure the safety of the vessel, crew, and cargo, it includes to always keep evolving and achieving a greater working environment.
You will be employed with a shipping company employment which means that it is possible to be transferred to other Swedish-flagged vessels within Stena Line in the future.
As a leader onboard, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, assuring that the ship is always safely manned. You will oversee training and development opportunities for your crew and keep looking for other ways to motivate them. In this role, you must have the desire to motivate, inspire and develop your group, creating a culture that encourages teamwork and a good working environment. We believe you have an interest in driving change!
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Being a motivating and engaging leader of your group and driving the business forward.
- Responsible for the safety of the vessel, crew, and cargo
- Performing frequent inspection rounds of the vessel and accommodation.
- Leading and managing the crew onboard
- Ensuring that your crew is complying with the Company's Safety Management System
- In the absence of the Senior Master, collaborating with the duty Chief Engineer to fulfill all Class and Flag certifications and arrange necessary surveys to maintain all certification

Qualifications:
- Good leadership skills - experience working as a motivating and inspiring leader
- Certificate of competency as Master
- Extensive experience as a deck officer
- Strong analytical and strategic ability
- Strong system knowledge
- Fluent in English and Swedish
