We are looking for an experienced mass spectrometrist with in depth knowledge in the area of MS imaging to join our team in the Cardiovascular & Metabolic Diseases Innovative Medicines Unit (CVMD iMed) DMPK department. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing drug candidates and their metabolites in various in vitro and in vivo samples including cells, sub-cellular fractions as well as tissues, plasma and bile samples.
As a successful candidate you will be part of a team focusing on DMPK design, metabolism, biodistribution and disposition of small molecule, conjugated peptide and nucleotide drug candidates. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the discovery of new life changing medicines for patients and demonstrate and witness what science can do.
CVMD iMed is based in AstraZeneca?s world class vibrant R&D center, located in Mölndal, Sweden (Gothenburg area). CVMD iMed DMPK interacts with other functions in supporting CVMD projects all along the value chain, from target selection all the way to market launch and Life cycle management.
The role
The mass spectrometry specialist will support the DMPK department as well as the projects by providing mass spectrometry expertise in particular mass spectrometry imaging. The mass spectrometry specialist will be responsible for analysis of drugs and drug candidates in various in vitro and in vivo samples including cells, sub-cellular fractions, tissues and plasma, bile samples. CVMD drug project compounds encompass small molecules, conjugated peptides and nucleotides. The individual will be an integral part of the DMPK project team and expected to work collaboratively with the team to enable successful progression of the drug discovery projects.

Deliver cell and tissue distribution and exposure data for drug candidates and metabolites.
