The Direct to Consumer Group is a technology scale-up within the Discovery brand with more than 800 engineers globally. We are building a global OTT streaming video platform (discovery+), and a suite of applications to support all of our network's brands globally. We are building modern container-based micro-services operated on AWS. Our platform covers everything from search, catalog, video transcoding, personalization, global subscriptions, and much more. We build user experiences ranging from classic lean-back viewing to interactive learning applications. We build for connected TVs, web, mobile phones, tablets, and consoles for a large footprint of Discovery-owned networks around the world - Discovery, Food Network, Golf TV, MotorTrend, Eurosport, Discovery+, and many more. Discovery is growing and is on the lookout for a MarTech Developer to join our team in Stockholm. The role will be working on Discovery's flagship product - discovery+, a direct-to-consumer video subscription service with over 20 million unique subscribers globally. We are hiring another colleague to our MarTech team who will be responsible for developing custom applications/solutions and implementing integration services between different systems inside Discovery.
As a MarTech Developer at discovery+ you will work closely with the Product Team to design, create and develop new automation possibilities for marketing for our global platform that was launched a year ago. The platform is greenfield with the potential to host hundreds of millions of users in the coming years and is now already one of the top market disruptors within streaming. Say goodbye to the old streaming services, we 'll take it from here.
We have an exciting time ahead of us with the Olympics in Beijing around the corner and with an already completed successful Olympic launch in our backpack, now is the time to evolve. You will be a key part of developing cutting-edge solutions for our modern and greenfield platform. You will be a part of the Stockholm team focusing on global projects and will join an already existing team of engineers within MarTech. Discovery+ is the market leader within MarTech and streaming and is currently on the lookout for an additional colleague to join our DiscoFam.
You have a solid technical knowledge base, but most importantly you have a keen interest in Marketing Automation and want to enable the team to build predictive consumer behavior tools with a global streaming platform. If that knowledge is within CRM/MarTech, even better - you will have a great chance to put your mark on our development.

3-5 years experience working with AWS tools and services (primarily EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, S3)
Programming skills, i.e. HTML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, .NET Core, Node.js
Computer Science degree or similar e.g Media Technology.

What you will be doing..
Develop new custom integrations enabling new marketing automation possibilities.
Work within our dedicated Global MarTech Team supporting all discovery+ regions globally.
Support and maintenance for already existing applications created for our CRM environment.
Come up with new improved ways to optimize our current applications in AWS and Bifrost.
Leveraging missing logic/data/actions to our CRM platform.
Enhance our marketing tech capabilities and automate as much as possible.
