Main responsibilities
OEM Engine & Transport is a fast growing business in the Industrial Equipment Segment of Alfa Laval. We produce and market highly engineered cooling, filtration and separation solutions for the engine and transport markets. Our customers are OEMs manufacturing the engine or vehicles into which our products are integrated. The business is undergoing significant change due to emission legislation and end user efficiency demands making the market very attractive to Alfa Laval technologies. We are looking for the right person to help promote and expand the business within our Sales Companies throughout Europe and Asia.
As Marketing manager, your key tasks will be to:
• Drive the business through local Account Managers
• Help to develop Account Managers and the local OEM Engine & Transport sales organizations
• Identify opportunities and transfer these to local Account Managers
• Interface with Operations, R&D & Product Management to support our production, quality and product needs
• Visit and promote Alfa Laval technologies to the engine and vehicle design firms in Europe and Asia
• Prepare business plans, forecasts and be responsible for volume and profit development in Europe and Asia.
• Be an active participant in the OEM Engine & Transport management team
Qualifications
To be successful we believe you have B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and about 10 years of experience in the engine or vehicle industry of which a few would be in sales management or project management. There will be travelling in the position, about 100 days per year. You are fluent in English, both written and oral.
In the position we can see a driven and proactive self starter, who can formulate a plan and execute with limited direction and management. Good leadership and communication skills are important to communicate effectively crossfunctional with different projects and nationalities in a matrixed organization and motivate other people. You are a effective presenter and listener person with great passion for business, people and technique.
