The Tourist Development Corporation of Malaysia (TDC) was established on 10 August 1972 as an agency under the former Ministry of Trade Industry by an Act of Parliament. With the inception of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism on 20 May 1987, TDC was moved to this new ministry; and became the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) through the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board Act 1992. Popularly known as Tourism Malaysia, it is now an agency under the Ministry of Tourism with full focus on promoting Malaysia domestically as well as internationally. Tourism Malaysia office opened its Stockholm office in November 1993. Currently it has more than 40 overseas offices worldwide.
POSITION: MARKETING MANAGER
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop and manage a comprehensive range of marketing
activities targeted at our customer groups and business channels.
To ensure destination Malaysia receives a high level of participation and inclusion in various catalogues of tour operators and travel agents, expanding database of alliances and partners through viable marketing support programmes and helping the destination to achieve its objective in increasing tourist arrivals into Malaysia.
QUALIFICATION :
A university degree majoring in marketing, communications or business administration and have at least 5 years working experience.
