Scania's Communications Department operates globally towards several key stakeholders, with the development of marketing and communication capabilities, that include work processes, enabling technologies, roles, and competencies. We are now recruiting a new talented and passionate colleague who will lead the advancement of marketing automation.

The role

We seek a Marketing Automation Specialist for the martech operations team who will be responsible for onboarding and managing the global marketing automation program and associated analytics capabilities. In this role, you are a true doer who has a passion for creating new opportunities in communicating with our customers.

You will enable our communications and marketing colleagues in central and global functions to master the foundations of marketing automation to successfully support campaign management and lead generation.

Core responsibilities include:

• lead, coordinate, develop, be hands-on involved, and execute the global implementation of marketing automation (strategy/business use cases/principles/ways of working and platforms)
• together with martech lead, internal stakeholders, and IT, you will design, build, analyse and optimize marketing automation journeys
• secure successful onboarding, including hands-on guidance and trainings
• close cooperation with key stakeholders at central and local functions to define KPIs incl. follow-up on the progress of the marketing automation program
• secure strategic and operational way of working between marketing and communications, sales, IT, and external experts to secure success
• act as our trusted expert through pro-active recommendations on trends, best practices, strategies, and industry standards, regularly sharing knowledge with all relevant stakeholders
• you will secure that digital marketing technology work together in an efficient way; cross-over marketing automation, lead generation, and analytics
• become an expert on the capabilities of Adobe Marketo Engage, forming processes around it and being up to speed with new features and changes to the product
• work with analysis in Adobe Analytics in order to learn, securing continuous optimization. As part of this, you will also push for new needs and requirements to enhance our analytics offering to all our digital marketeers.
• conduct operational dialogues with vendors and Scania IT

You are well acquainted with the whole lifecycle of technology use, will be regarded as our trusted expert, and know how to operate planning of implementation and onboarding, execution of training, and post-launch evaluations. Success in this role requires a good understanding of how data-driven marketing automation support business functions.

Your profile

• good knowledge of all parts of the digital marketing ecosystem
• previous hands-on experience, working with and preferably introducing multi-channel digital marketing automation solutions
• expertise and skills in digital marketing, email marketing, content marketing, and analytics incl. SME, SEO
• you enjoy working in complex, international, and intercultural contexts that require social, negotiation, and communication skills
• you understand data foundation and information architecture
• you are highly organized and self-motivated with a sense of urgency
• strong independent project management skills

Education

• you have a Bachelor' or Master's degree or equivalent
• 3-5+ years of practical experience in digital marketing
• professional proficiency in English, spoken and written is required

You, have an entrepreneurial spirit and are a highly valued team player, as well as an excellent communicator. You are structured, proactive, and have documented experience in project management. You are self-motivated and creative with analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills incl. the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities. You have some years of marketing automation experience, you know the main principles, and are familiar with executional digital marketing strategies.
