Our products are found in the industrial, medical and automotive segments, as well as in consumer products. Precision Strip is on a journey of profitable growth built upon new business development, fast growing segments and a strong position in the BRIC countries, especially China.
PU Precision Strips' marketing department consists of experienced marketing and development professionals and we are now looking for a Marketing and Sales Manager, as our current manager moves into a new assignment within Strip. You will be responsible for the overall profitability of the PU Precision Strip product portfolio through effective product management and business and product development, as well as marketing strategy development and execution. The marketing team is organized in segments, each led by a Global Product Manager (GPM), and each segment has a product specialist and a business development engineer. Business processes like strategic planning, new product development and establishment of business are key elements of this position.
Key performance areas
As Marketing and Sales Manager you will work closely with customers, Strip's global sales organization, R&D, logistics and production in Sandviken. Your main responsibilities include:
• People and performance management
• Business planning and product portfolio development
• Customers and competitors analysis
• Sponsoring and coordination of development projects within product renewal and product development
• Price and profitability management
• Marketing and market communication
• Creation of sales tools and general marketing tools for sales units
• Sales unit support to ensure that marketing and sales goals are met
• Sales channel dimensioning and design
The role involves interaction with customers and sales colleagues around the world and up to 30% of your time may be spent travelling.
You will report to the PU Precision Strip Manager.
Your profile
The successful candidate is an experienced, business-minded person, with a strong interest for understanding customer needs and identifying our capacity to supply value. You hold a university degree in business or engineering and have experience from marketing or sales in a global environment. Knowledge and practical experience of SMT's business system and the global precision strip sector is preferred, as is the ability to spur change. You have strong communication skills and are fluent in English and Swedish both written and spoken.
