Volvo Cars Marketing Sales and Service

We oversee all commercial activities for Volvo Car Corporation around the world, including marketing communication, customer interaction, sales and service. Main responsibilities:

To lead the regional Marketing and PR department. Aligned with corporate and marketing strategies, secure seamless integration of marketing, PR, communications and launch activities to increase the awareness of the Volvo brand and product range.
Drive integration between marketing & PR strategies, ensuring optimal co-ordination between communication & PR initiatives.
Manage the optimal regional deployment of the Advertising and Sales Promotion budget, delivering the best possible return on investment in support of corporate objectives.
Lead the work in applying Digital Excellence and CRM best practices across the region, including roll-out of CSS.
Work with the NSC:s to implement, follow up and measure the effects of global marketing communication initiatives.
Actively represent the region in the Global Campaign Development Team and GMMT to secure the regional needs and requirements are appropriately taken into account.
Actively represent the region in Public Affairs' meeting, securing the regional needs are taken into account in the PR planning.
Support the markets in marketing and PR matters, such as agency selection, personnel recruitment etc.
Responsible for planning, developing, managing and following up on the regional launch plans for all carlines.
Represent the region in the relevant launch fora.
Instill a best practice sharing mentality across the region, and with other regions/NSC:s.
Lead, support and develop the members of the regional marketing team.
Be a strong and effective leader for the central/ regional Region 2 Marketing team; manage personal development & succession planning, and act as coach for key people.
Initiate, design and manage events for the Region.

Competence requirements/qualifications:

University / Higher Vocational Education or equivalent through
Senior Management experience and highly developed people management skills.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in the international Marketing field in a major NSC and Headquarters.
High degree of business acumen and understanding of 'emerging' market legal franchise and legal entity requirements and constraints relating to after sales networks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience of working in multi-cultural and cross-functional teams and highly developed networking skills.
Knowledge of VCC central Sales & Marketing processes and structures.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.


This position will report to the Vice President, Region 2.
Based in Sweden.
