Role
The Market Research Lead is principally responsible for interpreting market data, formulating reports and making recommendations for product strategy and enhancements. The lead will do this by conducting surveys of products and projects internally, determine competition and market trends to formulate tangible intelligence for the Product Owner, Solution Architects and Solution Managers to act on.
Key responsibilities:
• Analyse and process market and competition data to make recommendations that trigger growth and innovation for the Product.
• Provide market segmentation analysis, customer insights/ needs assessment to determine growth opportunities in Core and other market segments.
• Participate in marketing communications by working with Sales and Business Development and build customer relations.
• Work collaboratively with various stakeholders in obtaining relevant and updated information regarding customer needs. He/ she will have a close collaboration with the Regions as well.
• Develop an external network within the Industry, visit exhibitions, conferences, seminars and other relevant events, representing Bombardier Transportation.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business administration, commercial, finance or engineering.
• Approximately 7 years of previous relevant experience.
• Excellent understanding of technical specifications and requirements in rail industry.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Strategic and analytical, results oriented person.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Flexibility and international travel to a medium degree required.
• Experience in operating in a complex environment.
