You will be part of ABB's global business unit Grid Systems in Västerås. ABB offers a range of grid integration and transmission solutions for conventional and renewable energies, facilitating the reliable and efficient transportation of electricity across vast distances, minimizing losses and environmental impact. As a pioneer and market leader in technologies and solutions such as HVDC, FACTS, offshore wind connections, high voltage cables and semiconductors, the company continues to build on its extensive global installed base supporting transmission utilities evolving their grids.
Tasks
Are you interested in green energy consumption and want to make a difference? Grid Systems' focus on renewable energy provides you with an interesting opportunity to contribute to a sustainable world by using your professional skills. In this role, you will support the Communications Manager in planning of events and in various communication activities such as developing new marketing material, our web and intranet. One of your main tasks will involve creating articles and press releases for publishing on our web, intranet and in social media. Our technology incorporates many of ABB's pioneering solutions and some of your work will run in collaboration with market communicators in other Product Groups. As ABB is an international company, you will also have the privilege of working with colleagues from other countries. Needless to say, this environment stimulates great career opportunities on both a local and global level.
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor in Communications, Marketing or equivalent. In addition to formal qualifications, you are a skilled communicator who preferably has worked with web applications, intranet and MS Office in a similar role. Proficiency in written and spoken English is a requirement, which probably makes English your first language. Knowledge of Swedish, Spanish and German is advantageous and so is insight into the power industry. As a professional, you are a great achiever and used to multitasking. You also adapt well to changing circumstances and provide excellent customer service.
