UK Trade & Investment is the UK government's organisation helping UK companies to succeed in international markets and overseas companies to bring high quality investment to the UK's vibrant economy. We employ over 2000 staff across our international network and in Sweden we operate with 12 members of staff based at the British Embassy in Stockholm.
The Job
We are looking for additional Market Advisers for our office in Stockholm. These are temporary positions to cover for staff on parental leave with a starting date preferably around mid September 2008.
You will work alongside our experienced consultants with one or more of the following sectors: construction, infrastructure and transportation, environmental technologies, energy, and advanced engineering, biotech and healthcare/medical, ICT and security, consumer goods.
Our market advisers work with business organisations, government agencies and other multipliers to identify areas of interest for UK business, to raise the profile of Sweden as an attractive export destination and not least to meet the needs of individual UK export firms. An important share of the work is to assist individual companies with market research and identification of opportunities, partners, distributors and clients.

Profile
We are looking for team players with relevant educational background. Some industry knowledge and some years of experience, preferably from one of the sectors you will work with would be an advantage. You have a positive attitude, flexibility, a strong client focus and sales and service minded approach. You will work under tough performance targets. Experience from export promotion would be of merit.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish.
