Cool Carriers AB operate some fifty vessels in a worldwide trading pattern and more than 7000 reefer containers, predominantly various fruit trades . Our niche within the shipping industry is that we carry the cargo both under deck in big hatches and on deck in reefer containers. Cool Carriers AB have a worldwide network of subsidiaries and agents actively being part of our daily operation in all various time zones. Cool Carries AB is a daughter company of Cool Carriers Ltd, Limassol.
Cool Carriers AB is now looking for a highly qualified colleague to be part of our team in Stockholm. We are eight multitask people in the office and need one more experienced person in order to safeguard our leading position within our industry. Besides being pleasant person to work with, we see that an applicant must also have:
Main responsibilities:
• Identify, scope, and lead multiple projects related to our fleet of 50 vessels. This includes:
• Budgeting of vessel operation
• Supervising and visiting vessels in different part of the world, mainly within EU. to verify condition and how budget is followed.
• Together with shipyard and manufactures develop suitable equipment for the vessel to comply with the IMO 2023, aiming to reduce carbon emissions from the global shipping industry.
• Be in contact with vessles , when reefer container suffers from malfunction and help crew with troubleshooting
• Order containers spares , control delivery and keep records alive
• Attending container seminars.
• Supervise ships in dry dock.
• Control technical management activity and report to management
• Meeting container leasing companies management and manufacturers in order to obtain best possible rates for company
• Participate in trade fairs related to above mentioned items.
• Leadership & people management:
• Lead the Cool Carriers container team on the ground. Drive the team towards short and long-term goals, ensuring the right people and processes are in place to get there. Act as project manger for the carbon emission project.
• be a leader in developing company software .
Qualifications and experience:
We are looking for an outstanding individual with strong operational and managerial skills to help grow and develop our fleet of vessels.
To succeed in this role you need to have a minimum of 5 years of seagoing experience, preferably within the engine field. A deep knowledge of reefer vessels and its reefer machinery as well as knowledge of reefer containers. You also need to have an established network with all major container leasing companies.
Futhermore you need management and negotiating skills meeting our service and equipment providers. Knowledge of environmental IMO details, rules and regulations within EU and USA, IMO environmental future requirement for ocean going ships, as well as knowledge of the ships scrap procedure and its environmental impact.
You have documented experience speaking and writing in English. Other languages are a great plus.

You demonstrate both flexibility and high integrity and ethics in dealing with internal and external counterparties as well as having the ability to set priorities and create focus on accomplishing set objectives
Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to deliver to deadlines with a sense of urgency while retaining very good attention to detail/quality and acting in line with company policies
Strong collaboration and communication skills - acting as a real team player with the ability to communicate at all levels. experience with developing software technical specifications .
experience of work with IT companies and develop soft as supervisor .
expert knowledges in Excel/Access , Autocad.
Photoshop, Lightroom is advantage
