This is what you gonna doAs a marine propulsion engineer, you are deeply involved to develop next generation of propulsion systems. Design and analysis of contra rotating propellers for IPS and DuoProp are an essential part of your daily work. You will also be involved in development of current methods and tools for contra rotating propeller analysis and for prediction of performance for boat and propulsion. Your task in projects is to propose the best possible technical solution for the marine propulsion system in different marine transmission projects. The work involved the whole project cycle, from Advanced Engineering to maintenance. Marine propulsion is one of our core competences and you will have a large contact network. This is one of Volvo Pentas specialist area. For the right person you hopefully will be a requested propulsion specialist of Volvo Penta worldwide. Our teamYour 15 new colleagues at the department Systems & Technology in Gothenburg are responsible for the development of performance related systems for diesel engines, marine drivelines and hybrid solutions. Marine propulsion is one of these systems. In close cooperation with other functions and colleagues within Volvo Penta we make sure, the development of our future products is in line with customer needs. We are looking for a person interested in marine propulsion area. The work is a split between method development and propeller performance calculations. CFD competence within this area is of interest. Marine propulsion experience is of interest, but also interest of developing our own developed methods and software, there engineering mathematics is a key element. Experience from Computer programming in different languages of numerical methods is an advantage. You have ambitions and energy to develop yourself and the company in a way that will make a difference in our technical solutions. As a person, you enjoy working in a team and have the ability to inspire your team colleagues and feeling engaged by goal settings.
