It is a modern and highly mechanized plant with about 500 employees working in various departments such as Production, Controlling, IT, Engineering, Quality, R&D, Purchase, HR and Facility.
Main objectives
As Manufacturing Engineering Manager you hold a key position in the factory being a part of the management team. You are responsible for the engineering department including eight engineers with many years of experience in technical manufacturing. You have an important role both in optimizing the manufacturing process as well as in the continuous operation of Electrolux “lean†concept, Electrolux Manufacturing System. The position as Manufacturing Engineering Manager also involves close collaboration with other departments in the factory and other Electrolux plants.
Key operational responsibilities
Drive the technical development of manufacturing processes, operative and strategic, by using the methods and principles of EMS.
Drive the investments on new industrial initiatives and other changes necessary to improve production efficiency, quality and operational safety.
Cooperate with R&D and Production to adapt and continuously improve the manufacturing process.
Continuously improve labour productivity through time studies/balancing
Through your leadership and ability to create a good working environment with a proactive approach continuously develop your team.
Competencies needed
Education
Master’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent.
Technical Skills
Long and solid manufacturing engineering experience from both the assembly and automated industry.
Deep experience in machines, tools and other production equipment from manufacturing industry.
Soft Competencies
Good communicational and presentational skills in both Swedish and English.
Structured and with good documentation skills.
Great analytic ability.
Proven strategic, operational and people leadership skills.
A multicultural mindset with a great ability to adapt to changes.
Strong drive for and focus on achieving results and business goals.
