What you will do
As our next Manufacturing Engineer you will lead the cross technical product and production manufacturing work, as well as represent Manufacturing during prepare and implement phases within Volvo Cars.
Your main tasks will be to assure a flawless introduction of your components in car programs. You will lead and coordinate activities within the defined area of responsibility alongside continuously strive for commonality within all the Volvo Cars engines global.
Another area is to have an overall responsibility to define and implement production systems, tools, equipment and assembly instructions (PII) in respective area to ensure fulfillment of ME requirements and targets.
You will also:
* Participate or monitor all product changes in own area and make sure that similar changes and requirements apply to all Volvo Cars engine factories alongside with standardize the work process between the different production areas, Machining and Assembly.
* Participants in the development and verification of the type bound tools and equipment
* Monitors and verifies the product changes and nearby process changes at the various builds. (Virtual & Physical builds)
* Support running production after productions initial analysis with handling problems on the product that drives the specification change together with P&Q
Do you fit the profile?
* Technical competence at senior high school or university level or equivalent.
* Practical experience of the production processes and/or design development.
* Driver's license B
* Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Meritorious
* Knowledge about the processes, methods, and tools at Manufacturing and Research and Development.
* Skills in Product Development, preferably in automotive industry
* 6 Sigma
