At Manufacturing Engineering Paint, you are part of a global production team that makes sure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. We develop and implement quality-assured, flexible and effective production systems in the Paint plants with people in focus. Our task is to ensure a process-driven, forward thinking product development and coordinating activities in design and product development, with focus on production-effective product solutions.
As Manufacturing Engineer in this unit you will lead the cross technical product and production manufacturing work, as well as represent manufacturing during preparation- and implementation phase. Your work is to ensure the product and process feedback to Research & Development (R&D) in order to fulfill the "six manufacturing attributes" (quality, man hours, cost efficiency, environment, flexibility and change over).
This is a temporary position starting in October 2015 and will last to the end of the year 2016, with the possibility to become a permanent position.
Main responsibilities
• Represents Manufacturing Engineering as well as the plants towards respective DPL (subproject manager) within Manufacturing Engineering and Product Development within responsible area
• Issue Process and Inspection Instructions
• Analyses and verifies the manufacturing requirements during and after physical builds
Required qualifications
• Technical competence at senior high school/university level
• Practical experience of the production paint process
• Basic computer skills
• Body design competence is a bonus
• Process & product knowledge in the area of sealing/NVH is a bonus
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
