About the Assignment
You will join a cross-functional manufacturing engineering environment within the automotive industry, where painted body and hang-on parts are developed for production plants and vehicle programs around the world. In this role, you will work as a Virtual Manufacturing Engineer and help shape product and process solutions that are robust, efficient and ready for both manual and automated production.
You will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering, production and product engineering to secure the right conditions for quality, line balancing, cost efficiency, environmental performance, flexibility and changeover. This is a strong opportunity for you if you want to influence global production solutions in a technically advanced body shop setting.
Job DescriptionYou will investigate, prepare and implement product and manufacturing process solutions for body shop production.
You will work with virtual manufacturing and help secure manufacturable solutions early in development.
You will contribute to both manual and automated production concepts, with a focus on cross-functional alignment.
You will collaborate with production facilities and engineering teams to ensure that product and process solutions meet manufacturing targets.
You will support work related to quality, line balancing, cost efficiency, environmental performance, flexibility and changeover.
You will use digital manufacturing tools to simulate, validate and improve production setups.
RequirementsExperience in process design for a body shop.
Experience in product design for manufacturing, including DFA/DFM.
High proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter and Process Simulate.
Experience in robot offline programming.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
Technical education at university level, or equivalent experience.
You work in a structured way and have good documentation skills.
You are self-driven, positive, result-oriented and flexible.
Ability to complete a basic background check covering education, employment history, identity and citizenship.
