PureBallast - a system developed by Alfa Laval and Wallenius Water, prevents the spread of invasive organisms between the oceans. We have a market leading position since the launch in 2006, with a yearly turnover exceeding 1 billion SEK (>100 MEUR) and we sell systems to ship owners and shipyards worldwide. In the coming years the business in this global market will grow rapidly. We are now looking for a new Head of the global PureBallast business and Managing Director of AlfaWall to continue to develop the business as the existing MD is taking on new challenges within the Alfa Laval group.
Who you are
About the jobAs Managing Director of AlfaWall you will be leading the Company, the ballast water treatment business and continuously enhance our product and service offering to our customers. The company has 65 direct reports located at 6 sites globally and is expanding.
You will be setting, following up and making sure the Company's targets and objectives are met.The work includes internal interaction as well as contacts to customers, suppliers, public authorities and interest groups.
You will be responsible for the complete business including a full P&L responsibility for the operation and report to the AlfaWall Board of Directors.
What you knowYou are an experienced General Manager with experience from successfully growing a business. You have experience from business negotiations in an international environment. You are a commercial and market-oriented person with interest in technology. You have several years of international work experience and a University Degree.
As a person you have an outgoing personality with high communication and leadership skills. You are a goal oriented, entrepreneurial person with a strategic mind-set. The business environment is highly international, so you have excellent skills in English, both in speaking and in writing.
You will lead a team of skilled and highly motivated colleagues and work in a challenging, fast moving and developing business.
The position is based in Tumba, Sweden.

The PureBallast product is marketed and sold entirely by Alfa Laval and you will act within the global Alfa Laval organization, with many international contacts, both internally and externally. You will be employed by AlfaWall AB.
