Manager within Optics Engineering at Veoneer, Linköping.
What you 'll do?
You, and your group, are responsible for the design, testing and verification of Veoneer's optics and sensor systems for the company's different types of camera systems.
As a group manager you are responsible for the development of both technology and personnel. You are expected to ensure the quality of your employees' working methods, performance and competence development.
The team consists of highly competent and experienced optomechanics designers. They really enjoy working with cutting-edge technologies in our rapidly growing team, leading the ongoing revolution in the automotive safety industry.
The team has a closely cooperation with the production team, with a strong focus on manufacturability, high "yield" and low scrap. You also cooperate with the Hardware Engineering management team, consisting of group manager for Mechanics, Electronics, Prototype and Indus as well as department head.
You will also support customer projects in achieving their goals by ensuring the right competencies are available at the right time and encouraging proactive problem solving as part of our culture.

What you 'll bring?
In order to succeed in the role, we prefer that you have
• Master of Science degree or equivalent
• Experience in leading others as well as building and developing teams
• Experience in embedded sensor systems and volume production
• Design experience, customer and supplier Contacts
• Experience within applied physics and optics
The position requires good leadership skills, that you are clear in your communication, have an analytical ability as well as the ability to make decisions. You are responsive and outgoing and maintain good relationships with people in your area. Experiences from the automotive industry and work with safety-critical systems we see as a merit.
