You will have a leading others responsibility
The Product Development unit is developing complete power systems for industrial and marine applications. The Design engineering department is responsible for the mechanical system and the electrical control system for the whole driveline system. Our everyday opportunity and challenge is to both perform to keep today's products competitive and transform to create new solutions for our customers - both on land and at sea. When targeting the next generation products and solutions the focus and demands on the electrical control system increase.
The Vehicle Control team is a committed and proud team located in Gothenburg. The team is responsible for the electronic control system for the vessel and vehicle throughout all the phases in the product lifecycle. To mention some specific areas, human machine interface and autonomous solutions are as well part of the team responsibility. The team contributes to roadmaps for new products and solutions and is responsible for requirement, development, documentation, verification and validation of the system in product projects and maintenance phase as well as taking care of feedback from the market.

You will have an operative and strategic responsibility
You will lead and develop the team as well as each individual in the team. You will take an active role in the management team and drive improvements both on a team level and on an organization level.
We believe in the power of teamwork and you will use your ability to describe a complex picture with a clear message to find the way forward together with your team and your stakeholders.
You will also:
Have engineering responsibility of the products and its features, behavior and performance in the hands of the customer as well as being the center of topics concerning your technical area
Secure the team competence and delivery to meet project targets, keep a holistic view of the products and contribute to product strategies and technology roadmaps
Have financial responsibility for department budget as well as smaller projects
Secure the communication interface and way of working with development partners and stakeholders

You have leadership experience and a genuine interest in inspiring and developing people. You have experience within the areas of control system, product development and project management. You have the drive to develop your team, the organization and yourself. You are the person who acts with a clear sense of ownership and you have strong networking and communication skills, English and Swedish. In addition we believe you have an academic education within the engineering area.
